When everything glows in the ethereal and white light of fresh snow, the sense of adventure that is inherent to the wilderness in white is a force beyond reckoning. If you are an adventure & adrenalin junkie or even if you are not, if you are a creature of leisure or even if you are not, if you see a new light in every sunrise or even if you don’t, if you are centred & connected or even if you are not, no matter who you are….do yourselves a favour…..come and celebrate the wild and be reborn. 

Come winters, and the mind’s eye sees snow, white all around, snow capped mountains, snow sports and fun in the sun shine. It can only get better if you get to round your vacation by staying exactly the way an Eskimo does and the way a traditional Lahauli stays. 

Living in an Igloo is what we imagined and wanted when we read about in our text books. Now, it is just a matter of reaching Hampta and you get to stay and live like an Eskimo. 

After the guests arrive in Manali, they will be received at Prini and driven to Sethan for an experience of a Traditional Himachali Homestay. Surrounded by massive and ancient Deodar trees and in the midst of an apple orchard, this homestay lies in the village of Sethan, a Lahauli village. Sethan is on the restricted project road and this makes it very secluded and solitary. If you seek solitude and nature at its best, this is the place to be. 

The next day we head over to our cosy and beautiful Igloo campsite. After a day full of snow and adventure activities, the stay in an Igloo is only highlighted by its comfort and luxury. 

When we’re surrounded by snow all around, it is difficult to imagine the feeling of warmth when sleeping in a dome made of ice. However, contrary to this, you will be surprisingly warm under the cover of fur lined sleeping bags, tucked in with warm water bottles to shake off the last traces of cold. 

After a lovely dinner and BBQ around a bon fire, the lure of a comfortable and warm bed in the Igloo is something that will leave you asking for more. 

This entire experience only reaches for the sky when we paraglide back FROM Hampta and fly in to Manali.

Itinerary 

 

Day 1 

Guests are requested to report at Prini, 2 km from Manali by 10 am where Mountaineerz support team will receive you to take you to Sethan. After checking in at the beautiful traditional Himachali home stay or a guest house, unwind and soak in the atmosphere around you. Spend some time exploring Sethan and the surrounding areas before heading to Pandu Ropa for some snow photography and many other activities. Soak in the mesmerizing view all around from an altitude of over 3000m. Return to the cottage for dinner and BBQ over bonfire. Overnight will be in the charming Himachali wooden cottage. 

 

Day 2 

After breakfast, guests head over to our Igloo campsite. Spend the day frolicking in the snow. Make snow angels; try some snowshoeing or skiing if you fancy it. Set upon the once in a lifetime chance of learning the art of igloo making and snow craft. After an exhausting yet exhilarating day, curl up in a blanket by a bonfire; enjoy the company and good food alike. Enjoy some scrumptious snacks and dinner around a bonfire in the snow with your friends and family. Turn in to your cosy little Igloos for a night to remember! 

 

Day 3 

Breathe in the clean fresh mountain air as you witness sunrise over the mighty Pir Panjal Range. After a nutritious breakfast, freshening up and some last minute exploring the beautiful snow land, get ready to head back to Manali where you are free to explore the town and later catch your evening bus.

  • 1 night stay at Traditional Himalayan cottage with comfortable rooms on 2–4 sharing 

  • 1 night stay in igloo with warm feather sleeping bags, foam mattress and hot water bottles 

  • All meals from Lunch on Day 1 till breakfast on Day 3 with refreshments, soup and hot drinks 

  • All local transportation as per the itinerary in 4x4 vehicles 

  • Snow Activities like  Sledging, Tube Slide, Igloo and snowman making  ● Bonfire, BBQ and music. 

  • Snow dress at igloo stay

  • Any other services or meals which are not mentioned in the above "Inclusions" section. 

  • Expense of personal nature such as tips, laundry, telephones, beverages etc. 

  • Medical, Insurance and Evacuation charges. 

  • Airfares, Train ticket, Bus fare, if any. 

  • Lunch in Hotel on Day 3. 

  • Any cost incurred due to unforeseen circumstances.
